Home Remedies For Dark Circles

 

To women, beauty is a priority and they take all the measures just to maintain it. One of the main problems that a woman faces is dark circles under her eyes. These dark circles can make a woman look tired and therefore very uncomfortable with that. This will lead to a lot of beauty products application in order to hide the dark circles. Unfortunately this application of beauty products will not help for long. The skin under the eyes s very sensitive and there are no oil glands in this areas. It therefore needs a lot of care, which if fails you will look stressed up and you will have to experience premature aging. There are many causes to dark circles under the eyes and one main reason is lack of sleep. You will not realize it immediately after working yourself out, but when you start developing these dark circles you will experience the discomfort and you realize how important sleep is. Some other factors that lead to dark circles are illness and heredity. Before you take any treatment for the dark circles you need to know the cause of it. However you can use simple home remedies for treating dark circles as they have no side effects. The following are 5 solutions for dark circles.

 

1. Almond Oil

This is a great natural ingredient which is very beneficial for the delicate skin under and around the eyes. Regular use of almond oil around the eyes will help you reduce dark circles. Almonds are rich in Vitamin E which helps in eliminating the dark circles. Before you go to bed daily, apply a little pure almond oil all over the dark circles and massage it gently with your finger tips. Let it rest overnight and wash it the next morning with cold water. Repeat this until the dark circles disappear.

 

2. Rose water

Rose water helps in skin rejuvenation. It has mild astringent properties and so acts as a good toner. It provides a soothing effect on your eyes. Soak cotton balls in cool rose water and place them on your eyes for 10 minutes. Repeat this twice a day for a couple of weeks.

 

3. Raw potato

Potatoes have bleaching properties which helps in lightening the dark circles and get rid of the puffiness around the eyes. Extract the potato juice by grating 2 chilled potatoes, soak a cotton ball in this juice an place it over the closed eyes. Let it on for 15 minutes and then rinse your eyelids with cool water. Do this 2 times a day until dark circles disappear.

 

4. Cucumber

Cucumber has mild astringent and skin lightening properties which will help in reducing the dark circles under the eyes. They also provide a soothing and refreshing effect which will help relax your stressed out eyes. Cut fresh cucumber into thick slices and refrigerate them for 30 minutes, then place these slices on your eyes for 15 minutes and then wash the area with water. Do this two times a day until the dark circles disappear. You can also mix cucumber and lemon juice in equal quantities and apply it on the eyes with help of a cotton ball and leave it for 15 minutes and wash it off later. Do this for 1 week.

 

5. Tomato

Tomato has excellent bleaching properties which can lighten the skin to a great extent. Mix one teaspoon of tomato juice with one and a half teaspoon of lemon juice and apply this mixture on the dark circles and let it stay for 10 minutes. Rinse it off with cold water. Repeat this twice a day for few weeks.

 

Apart from following these 5 solutions for dark circles at home you must also make some healthy changes in your lifestyle. You have to get a minimum of 6 to 8 hours of sleep, drink 4 to 5 liters of water daily and eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables and avoid oily stuff. These changes will help you reduce dark circles, in fact prevent them appearing too.
